Last Weekend, Stowe Archers was proud to host our 3rd Annual Peterson / Mease Invitational. This event is in remembrance of two influential members of our club – Curt Peterson and Jim Mease. The Peterson / Mease Invitational is a multi-day event that consists of Indoor 3D and a 600 Round for combined score.
We would like to thank everyone that came out and joined us this weekend. It was a lot of fun and we hope to see everyone back for our leg of the Southeast Indoor 3D Series on January 6th, 7th, and 8th.
Results for our May 2016 Outdoor 3D Shoot have been posted below. Like last month, a list of targets and distances have been included as well.
Our next 3D Shoot will take place on Sunday – June 26th. Registration opens at 7:00am and closes at 12:30pm. Food and drink will be available for purchase in the clubhouse.
We hope to see you next month!
On Sunday April 24th, Stowe Archers was proud to host our first Outdoor 3D Shoot of the Season. We’ve made some serious alterations to our course that involved long hours and a lot of sweat. Based on the feedback we received today, all of that time and effort paid off.
The weather was beautiful and by the end of the day 53 Archers shot our course. We would like to thank everyone for coming out and making our first Monthly 3D Shoot of the season a success!
The results of the April 3D Outdoor 3D Shoot have been included below. We also included a list of targets and distances for those that were curious.
Again, thank you all for coming and we look forward to seeing you again on May 22nd (4th Sunday each month – April through September).
This weekend Stowe Archers was proud to host our Second Annual Triple Threat Challenge. This event consists of a 20 Target 3D Round, a 14 Target Field Round, and an Indoor 600 Round for a combined score.
The weather was perfect for outdoor shooting and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We received numerous compliments on our revised 3D Course and look forward to showing it off next week when we host our first 30 Target Monthly 3D Shoot of the season.
Don’t forget that our Field League starts next week (there is still time to sign up!). Everyone who turned in a Field Score for the Triple Threat may also use that same score for Week 1 of the League.
We would like to thank all of our members that came out to setup and staff the event as well as the participants that made it a success.
2016 450 League Champions (Left to Right) Austin Ayres | Steve Whitesell | Amanda Newland | Bill Newland
Since the beginning of January, archers have been gathering at the clubhouse, on Tuesday Nights, to shoot our Indoor 450 Spot League. Weather hasn’t always cooperated but we made it through the regular season unscathed.
Last week we began our Finals Shoot-Up. Teams were seeded based on points earned throughout the season then were tasked with shooting in a tournament. The bottom seed shot the next seed on the list and the winner moved on in the tournament. We continued with this format until one team was left standing.
The 2015 450 League Finals took place in a single night. It made for a very long night that we did not want to repeat this year. Unfortunately, unlike last year, I was unable to get video footage of all rounds of the finals.
This is unfortunate because there were some really fun match-ups early on that I would have loved to catch on video. Rounds 4, 5, and 6 have been embedded below. Simply click the Play button to begin watching.
